The reapplication process in the residence halls is handled through the online Reapply System followed by the Self-Assignment System (SAS). First, you must reapply. Then, in early March, you may self-assign.
You may either reapply online
OR you may return your signed Contract Signature Card with $120 to the Contracts & Assignments Office by 5:00 PM on Tuesday February 10th, 2009. Please do not do both.
Who Can Self-Assign?
Self Assignment is available only to the current residents of the residence halls. The self-asignment process gives first choice to current residents, based on the number of semester hours earned. New students (first-year and transfer) are given assignments only after the Self-Assignment period has ended.
Reapplication Process
This process consists of two parts: (1) reapplication and (2) self-assignment.
Part 1 - Online Reapplication OR Contract Signature Card
- Students who are planning on staying in the residence halls for the following academic year must apply online OR must sign and return the Housing Application/Contract Signature Card.
- If you choose to return the Contract Signature Card, it must be returned to the Contracts & Assignments Office (17 Burge Hall) along with $120 ($100 advanced payment and $20 non-refundable application processing fee). You may pay with cash (exact amount only), check for $120, or University ID charge.
- The deadline for Part 1 is 5PM, Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
- Late applicants may not be able to return to the residence halls.
Part 2 - Room and Board Selection
- You will be sent a letter stating that we received your application and notifying you of your initial access time to enter the Self-Assignment System. (March 3 - March 11 depending on number of semester hours earned.)
- You must access SAS to confirm your current room or select a different room.
- You must select and confirm one of the board plans.
- You may use SAS until 5 PM, Friday, April 3, 2009.
Cancellation
- Cancel in writing at the Contracts & Assignments Office, 17 Burge Hall by the binding date of May 1, 2009.
- After that date, you may only cancel as stated in the terms and conditions of the contract, Section 6.
