The University of Iowa operates three apartment complexes on the west side of campus. Hawkeye Court and Hawkeye Drive are open to University students and their immediate household. These apartments provide an affordable alternative to residence hall life, and are popular not just for students with families, but also with single students interested in a more independent lifestyle. Parklawn Apartments are a bit closer to campus, but still offer the more relaxed atmosphere of a small apartment community. The complex features an adults-only lifestyle for students on the go.
